Called mIQ, the service will be available starting with October 12 to anyone interested.

The new service will let its future users better protect the precious information on their smartphones. They will be able to both sync and backup files and access the saved data at a later date from any computer in the world. mIQ will offer 1GB of storage space which should be plenty for storing your contacts details, call logs, messages, phone settings and basically all the data you need to have saved at all times. mIQ will work with BlackBerry OS, Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile phones so as long as you don't want an Android or iPhone handset you will be able to access it at will.

The service will be available for free to Best Buy Mobile customers as it will be included in the Walk Out Working smartphone program. Everyone else will be able to access it from Best Buy whenever they feel like getting a new cloud service.
