VoIP On AT&T 3G Network Is A Go

Skype So AT&T has come out and announced that they will be allowing VoIP on their 3G network, that means you can fire up Skype or even Google Voice and stay away from paying plenty to call your love ones overseas, pretty sweet huh? I think this is a move long overdue and should have been in place years ago, but as usual, the wireless network operators are always 5 steps behind when it comes to technology and what subscribers want.

"iPhone is an innovative device that dramatically changed the game in wireless when it was introduced just two years ago," said Ralph de la Vega, president and CEO, AT&T Mobility & Consumer Markets. "Today's decision was made after evaluating our customers' expectations and use of the device compared to dozens of others we offer."
Yes the iPhone will be in on the action too, which is good for users seeing as they were restricted to only using VoIP over Wi-Fi.
