T-Mobile Lost Personal Sidekick Data

The carrier did have some mishaps with private data a while ago. This time however the issue is not as sensitive as the phones affected by the whole server failure thing were T-Mobile's Sidekicks and those data servers weren't hacked into.

Apparently personal data that users might have had on their Sidekicks has been completely and utterly lost. T-Mobile is trying to fix the whole issue but that doesn't mean they will succeed at doing it. In fact it's more likely that Sidekick users will not recover their data and simply have to deal with the matter.

At least this time you haven't lost personal data that could be used against you by hackers. What have been lost are contacts, calendar entries, to-do lists, photos and stuff like that. If you did back everything up then you should have no problem retrieving it. Otherwise you'll have to build everything up from scratch. Who's to blame? Well the fault is shared by T-Mobile and Microsoft/Danger. More info should be available by Monday, October 12, so hang tight!
